So i'm super excited for something new coming to The Burnt Daisy and that is...

Cake Toppers!

I have been thinking about doing it for a while because monograms are so in style right now and I got confirmation tonight that I should definately do it.
So let me explain. They come in 2 different sizes, 4" and 6" and they are made to stick right into the top of the cake. You can get it for your wedding cake and do your initial of the married name or even both first names, or all 3! I think it would be cute if you did his and her initials in 4" and then in between those do a 6" of your married last name! I can visualize it and it's cute. Or any other event that has a cake, such as showers or birthdays etc. So trust me. These aren't going to be like my normal letters. They are going to be beautiful and super nice! I can decorate them in rhinestones, pearls, crystals or anything to match your decor. I ordered one to show you as a sample so hopefully I can show you that soon so you can get an idea of them. I'm even going to add fancier fonts for them so watch for those to come! All the other details as in prices etc I still have to figure out but if you are interested we can talk right away, just send me an e-mail and i'll hook ya up!

Also this weekend is the last weekend to get you Christmas orders in!! Sunday night is the cut off. I am so excited with how busy i've been with orders. They have been taking a little longer than normal with these girls of mine deciding to be a little more high maintenance than usual. But i've got a game plan ready to go so I can dedicate designated time to them. I have lots to show you!

I have the giveaway almost completed and I am loving it! I think i'm going to use the same design on mine that I ordered for my house. I'm just waiting for Halloween to be over then i'll put it up. So i'm guessing Sunday night. So Sunday is a big day, so check back here!

More names!

I finally got these all finished at the same time.

These first 3 are for a friend of mine. She picked out the paper and wanted them to share a room so I made them each a little different. She has the cutest little girls, and Violet is their new baby girl. Congrats Elysa she is adorable just like the rest!

This one matches a jungle themed room.

I had to take this picture inside at 6am, so it's not the best but I like this name.

This Boo is my sisters. She designed it and I love it. I think I need to hire her! I also think i'm going to keep it for myself. Good job Britt!

Kourtney was a mix between some other papers I have used that she loved plus a few more, there is a big flower for the K, that will go on it when it gets here.
These next two are for a relative of mine. Levi has a sports themed room in these colors, and Kimmi is pink and brown with some other pastal colors in the bedding. Hope she loves them!

And this one is mine, I wanted something simple for my small house and it's perfect.

I lied and Gift certificates!

I was going through my bin from the craft show (I know i'm a procrastinator) to get out my girls names to put them back up and I found something. This Boo that I forgot about that never sold. It's actually the exact one my friend ordered but I ran out of paper for the 'B' for hers. So this one will go to her and the one I have left, the 'B' is the same black but a little different pattern on it, thats it. So it's ready to ship for whoever wants it!! It's $30 and super cute! How about them gift certificates??
I have them!! Now you don't have to worry about ordering for someone, you can just give them a gift certificate for the amount of what you are wanting to get them, or even a set amount for them to have off when they do order. Just e-mail me and I have them here, I can mail them to you so you can give them as Christmas gifts, or we can do an online transaction.

Deadlines for Christmas

If you are wanting something for Christmas as a gift you need to have it ordered by October 31st and If you are wanting anything for Christmas home decor, the sooner the better obviously. There isn't a deadline on that but i'm assuming you'll want it up by December 1st, which is when I decorate so I assume everyone is like me!

These will make awesome gifts for anyone! Kids, home, babies, or yourself! If you need ideas on words I have lots! Just e-mail me and i'll help ya out.
I can now do the smaller sizes I told you about before. Which come in 4" and 6" which I think is perfect for Christmas home decor. The prices for those are, 4"-$8/letter and 6"-$10/letter. Remember that anything over 7 letters is 10% off before shipping and embellishments.

Well I never sold it at the craft show but a friend bought this exact style so i'm just going to give her this one. So I now have the word 'love' in this font uncrafted and ready to be made up. I can make it into any color/style you want but this is the exact font that it is in. It'll be $48, and if you want an embellishment that will be added on. E-mail me if you are interested!

The Craft Show and I need some help!

This weekend was a great success! Thanks so much for everyone who came out to see me and also those who helped me the entire weekend. I had awesome feedback and it was a great experience! I definately learned things I would and wouldn't do next time but I think it went pretty good for my first show ever! Here it is! Thanks to my two sisters and two cousins for being my "reps" for the day. I had lots of fun!



Now onto my next order of business. I need some help. I am going to order some premades for Christmas but i'm not quite sure what words are more popular and I need you to tell me. Which word would you like to see hanging in your home with your Christmas decor. Here is my list suggestion and if you come up with any more tell me. I'm also going to be doing a Christmas giveaway!!! So keep posted for that! This will also help me in choose for that as well. Oh and don't forget anything over 7 letters is 10% off, I changed the discout a bit from before.

I've been busy!

Here it goes!
This first word is the new font Script and I love it! The letters are not attached so you have to hang them accordingly. This word is the same size as the names which are 8". The next two are home decor initials and are 22" big.





I took this one to show the size in a more "real" photo since a lot of people have told me how in person they look so much bigger and better. ;) So this is my 3 year old posing as always with one of my favorite names.

Halloween Decor!!

I am so excited about getting the Halloween Decor out there. I LOVE Halloween and ever since I started this business this was one of the main things I was always anxious to make. These can come in any words, font, style you'd like! If you want something more plain and simple or with a pattern and fun, I can do it! These are premades that I will be selling at the craft show, there are more to come. I will only be taking these orders until the end of September but remember it takes about 3 weeks to get them, so if you want your decor up for the Halloween holiday, order now! Yes this also means I will be doing Christmas decor!! Remember I can do any words you like for your home. I am making a few more general home decor words to give you an idea of what can be done. Just e-mail me if you have any questions or want to make an order!!



I will be increasing my prices on the 8" letters. I have been avoiding it but I need to take into consideration my time and effort that goes into making these and make it worth my while. I will take orders with the $10 per letter until August 28th so you still have the oportunity to get previous price for one week, then they will increase. They will be $12 per letter after the 28th. The latest and the kids show!

So lately I have been so crazy busy and I am getting so excited with how fast my business is growing. I have so many orders to work on in the next month or so and more always coming in. Which is great! I recently got asked to be in a big kids show in Southern Alberta on September 19th, and I am so excited for it. I have been frantically trying to get ready for it. I am going to have things to buy on the spot such as words for your home and seasonal decor. I am currently working on a bunch of halloween things and I can't wait to show you. I know Halloween is a ways away but it's really not. Summer is half over, then school, then Halloween! I like to be prepared. I have so far finished one home decor word and I have a few more coming in. If you want any specific word let me know and I can do it!
My husband recently went to a boys camp and called me with some "bad news." He crashed his bike on a jump and broke our camera (which was in his backpack that he was wearing.) New camera = better pictures! Lets just say I wasn't too heartbroken.

New fonts!

I figured if I am going to expand in the home decor I need to get some more fonts. I have picked 2 so far and may be adding more in the future. I just ordered something in Script for myself so i'm excited to see how it turns out. The curly is just fun one for children's names, it's probably a little skinnier than the rest so make sure that's what you want when you order. Let me know what you think, and if there is any other styles you'd like to see.

Here are some orders I just finished, enjoy! Remember, e-mail me if you'd like to make an order or have any questions at all!

The first 4 names were for a couple who ordered them for their nieces and nephew. She told me to do anything girly, and I did! I love it when I get to do whatever I want. Isaac she wanted blue and white to match a Maple Leafs room.




Owen was another order for the blue and brown I previously used. I no longer have this line because of so many orders with it.
Erica was for a friend's little girl and she sent me a little decoration from her room with purple, lime green, pink and blue in it. Could it be a more perfect match?
Kayla's mom wanted pastals for her room. The colors in the picture didn't turn out as bright as they are in person.
AVA was for an expecting mom, she is having a girl and already has her name picked out. Talk about being prepared! They are doing her room a light purple and she wanted a darker purple name. This is one of my personal favorites. Congrats guys, can't wait to see her!
